Here is how pick up day works.
Our free shuttle collects you from the airport or nearby accommodation at 9am, 11am, 1pm or 3pm, in Christchurch and Auckland.
Allow at least two hours. We run through your van and the insurance cover, make sure you are comfortable driving in New Zealand, and can help plan your trip.
Unlimited kilometres and 24 hour AA roadside assistance. Your van is self-contained, so you can stay at DOC campsites and freedom camping areas.

5 days for Christchurch return trips. 14 days for Auckland hires, one-way trips, and any pick up between mid-December and mid-January.
Drivers must be 21 or over and hold a full licence (probationary licences are not accepted). Extra drivers are free, as long as they are named on the agreement.
